Primary Care Mental Health Nurse
The Practice Nurses offer appointments throughout the week for monitoring of Blood Pressure, Heart Disease, Cervical Smears, Diabetes, Asthma and COPD. They also they have appointments also for general health checks, including weight, height, smoking and alcohol advice.
Extended Scope Physiotherapist
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), and blood pressure measurements. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
Deputy Practice Manager
All of our staff are there to help you and are your link with the Practice. They work under instructions from the doctors. They may need to ask you medical details in order to assist the doctors or nurse, but all information given to them is treated in confidence as they are bound by the same code of conduct as the clinical staff.
The Practice is also supported by in-house Pharmacists who process all acute prescriptions, patient IDL’s and deal with any medication queries, allowing GP’s to focus on clinical care.

Midwives from the Buttercup Team based at Forth Valley Royal Hospital provide all aspects of ante-natal care and immediate post-natal care for our patients.

Community Staff Nurse
Nursing assistance at home can be arranged for patients who are genuinely housebound.
The nurses provide nursing care and can arrange delivery of equipment for patients confined to their homes. They will assess, plan, implement and evaluate your care. They can be contacted on (01259) 290179.
Our health visitors are nurses with further specialist training, which includes child health, health promotion and health education. They focus on promoting health and well-being, and preventing illness and disease and are skilled in providing advice on a wide range of issues. They take a special interest in the under fives and families, supporting those with additional needs. The health visitors have input into health promotion clinics such as breast feeding.
